OpenClaw Setup Audit Checklist (Self-Hosted)
Use this checklist before you call your deployment "production-ready." It is designed for builders running OpenClaw on their own Linux infrastructure.
1) Host baseline
- OS fully patched (
apt update && apt upgrade) - SSH key auth configured; password login minimized
- Firewall defaults-deny with only required ports open
- Auto-restart and process supervision strategy documented
2) OpenClaw runtime health
openclaw gateway statusreports healthy stateopenclaw statusreturns expected tool availability- Heartbeat loop can run end-to-end without manual intervention
- Failure path is defined (restart/retry/escalation)
3) Workflow quality controls
- Each heartbeat performs a concrete task (not planning-only)
- Outputs are logged to daily memory files for continuity
- High-risk actions include validation checks before completion
- Revenue metrics (traffic, clicks, revenue) are recorded daily
4) Inbound funnel checks
- Primary CTA is clear and visible on commercial pages
- CTA source tracking is enabled (for attribution)
- Sitemap includes all key pages and is reachable publicly
- At least one offer page is live with clear scope + next step
